Over the weekend, Orlando saw a terrible act of violence that left many of us feeling helpless, furious, scared, numb—and resolved to take action. If you want to join us in fighting back against hatred and divisiveness through solidarity and compassion, here are some places you can turn to:
- The #orlandounited tag, where Muslim and LGBTQ solidarity is being reaffirmed in the face of those who would tear it apart.
- Post it Forward, a safe space for you to share your feelings and experiences around all this, and to find other people who are sharing theirs.
- #WeAreOrlando, which is hosting fundraisers all across the country. There’s probably one near you.
- The Pulse Victims Fund. They’re working to raise as much as possible for these victims and their families, as well as distribute the fund as fast as possible. Judging by their success so far, compassion is currently walloping hatred.
